State nomination activity to 31 May 2026
Home Affairs reported 11,861 subclass 190 and 6,786 state-nominated subclass 491 EOIs as receiving nominations between 1 July 2025 and 31 May 2026.
This is activity to date, not remaining capacity. It should not be subtracted mechanically from allocations to predict whether a jurisdiction is “open”, because timing, program administration and reporting scope differ.

Why “invitations” and “nominations” are not interchangeable
The Home Affairs invitation-round page separates departmental SkillSelect invitation rounds from state and territory nomination activity. State nominations for subclasses 190 and 491 are not governed by the departmental invitation-round table in the same way.
