Quota AU is built around a simple rule: a figure without its program year, measure, source and review date is not ready to publish.

1. Responsible authority first

We use the Australian Department of Home Affairs or the responsible state or territory government as the primary source. Search snippets, social posts, migration-agent summaries and copied tables may help locate a page but do not control the figure.

2. Preserve the measure

Planning levels, nomination allocations, invitations, nominations and visa grants are stored as separate measures. We do not merge them into a single “quota used” percentage unless the official source defines a valid relationship.

3. Date-stamp every review

The page carries both the program year and our review date. When a 2026–27 national figure is available but the latest jurisdiction table remains 2025–26, both labels stay visible.

4. Fail closed on current numbers

If the responsible source is unavailable, ambiguous or appears to conflict with another current government page, the lookup should state that the number is unverified instead of filling the gap from memory.

5. No individual legal conclusions

Quota AU explains public datasets. It does not assess a person’s eligibility, recommend a visa application, predict an invitation or provide migration legal advice. Important decisions should be checked against the current official criteria and, where appropriate, an Australian registered migration agent or legal practitioner.
